Galway Companies plans to redevelop the triangular block bounded by University Avenue, North Whitney Way, and Old Middleton Road that includes the west side Glass Nickel to build three seven-story buildings with over 500 apartments. The restaurant already plans to relocate next year. [🔒WSJ] | | 📚 Prominent UW Prof Resigns After Investigation: Dietram Scheufele, a well-known UW-Madison professor and expert in artificial intelligence, has resigned after an investigation concluded he violated universal policy about consensual relationships. The investigation stemmed from complaints by three female students that included allegations of sexual harassment and hostile behavior. Scheufele called the university’s findings “damaging” and “unsubstantiated.” His last day was Aug. 15 and he has since taken a job at Arizona State University. Recipients include “Ueck,” a documentary about Milwaukee Brewers announcer Bob Uecker, and “The Warehouse,” a documentary about a project to complete Frank Lloyd Wright’s last unfinished building.
