Your bright side is showing.

Fall in Illinois is eye-opening. And we’re not just talking about the kaleidoscopic colors that paint the landscapes from Galena to the Garden of the Gods and every breathtaking outlook in between. It’s just the right time to discover fresh exhibits in Chicago’s world-class museums. Slow things down in charming small towns. And feast on the farm-to-table bounty. The show’s about to begin in the Middle of Everything.

Friday Floof: The Halloween Version

A collage of pets in halloween costumes: Starting at the top right and going left to right across the top and then the bottom: a beagle in a ghost bandanna, a cavapoo as a pineapple and a hotdog, a cat dressed as a burglar, a bunny with red wings, a cat dressed as a rocker, a dog dressed as Waldo, a cat with a brewers helmet on, and a cat in a bee costume. All of these pets are very cute and against a blue background.

We loved all your floofs so much we couldn’t feature just one! (Photocollage by Elizabeth Kauma, photos courtesy of Julie G., Mairin H. Deb N., Marc G., Brooke W., Carrie N.)

We asked you to send in your scariest Halloween pets, and man you delivered! Unfortunately, these floofs have too much star power for the space we have in our newsletter. Luckily, we have a whole article dedicated to these absolutely adorable furry babies and their dedication to All Hallows' Eve! Click the link below and see the whole lineup 🎃
