Madison’s Police Monitor Says MPD Is Obstructing Her Investigation
Nearly two weeks after the fatal police shooting of Corey Ruiz, Madison’s Independent Police Monitor says she still doesn't have the evidence needed to conduct an independent investigation. City Cast Madison host Bianca Martin speaks with interim Independent Police Monitor Aeiramique Glass about why her office subpoenaed the Madison Police Department for evidence she says her office is entitled to. They also discuss tensions with city officials, an evolving relationship with MPD Chief John Patterson, and why she has been present at protests to help de-escalate and support community safety.
