On July 22, protesters took to the streets of Madison after the fatal shooting by police of a young Black man at the intersection of Williamson and Baldwin streets.

City Cast Madison executive producer Hayley Sperling was there, and took photos of the protesters who gathered to decry the shooting. She also followed as a group of over 100 protesters marched down East Washington Avenue to the Capitol Square to protest at Wednesday’s Concerts on the Square. The concert was eventually cancelled.
